Loveland Pass Elopement - Abigail + Chris

I first met Abigail and Chris over the phone a week before their mountain top elopement at Loveland Pass. I feel in love with their story. They’ve known each other since high school but didn’t really start dating until they both got the courage to talk to each other towards the end of their senior year. In college Chris would pick up Abigail two and half hours away, every weekend and bring her back Monday mornings just in time for Spanish class. After four and half years Chris proposed at a local state park on a big rock in a river while tricking her that it was for fall family photos. So the whole family was there to witness it all!

Abigail, then went on to tell me during a gap year last year they took a six week road trip to national parks around the country with their pop up camper. How amazing does that sound?!

Abigail and Chris opted for an elopement at Loveland Pass. They love the mountains, roaming around, trying to avoid crowds and being with nature. Here is a quote from Abigail that I love:

“We like to compare ourselves to grandparents, we like drinking tea, reading and board games. I crochet blankets and hats and we’re generally pretty quiet, calm people. We enjoy being outdoors, seeing wildlife and generally avoiding crowds. We both love animals as well. Our ultimate dream is to buy some acreage and build a small house and little farm with a cow and ducks, have some babies and take our camper out once in awhile.”

This is amazing and sounds like such a dream life!!

I can’t explain to you how cool it was to be a part of Abigail & Chris’ elopement at Loveland Pass. While it was in the mid 90’s in the city, at the pass there was small snowfllakes falling from the sky and it was incredible! Even though it felt like February with the wind blowing and snow falling, we still had a complete blast wandering through the mountains!
