Even though most days are full of sunshine and warmth here in Colorado, some days we get lucky and have rain with a glorious moody background. Danielle & Aaron had their wedding day hosted at The Manor House. It’s one of those most gorgeous venues I’ve seen on the inside and out. From the landscape to the library, it’s absolutely perfect for an indoor romantic ceremony & reception. The grounds are perfect for portraits as well, with tall grass ,great views and a cool old car to pose by.
Our plan was to have an outdoor ceremony, however the rain was consistent on a cool late September afternoon. But like I said earlier, every location within the Manor House is perfect, so we ventured upstairs for a stunning substitute for their ceremony.
Luckily as the rain came to a stop, it was just in time for our walk around the grounds for portraits. We used the moody landscape to get some intimate dark & moody portraits. Danielle & Aaron didn’t care at all if they got a little wet as we wandered around, which is always a huge bonus since adventures make for such fun portraits.
As the darkness quickly came in for the evening their reception was stunning with the lights dim and the candles lit. At every table there were centerpiece geodes as well as each guest getting a small geode to take home as a favor. Danielle’s dad works with geodes, so they were sprinkled in various places for their wedding day. Check out the cake, of course it had to look like a geode! Stunning!
It’s venues like The Manor House & couples with a vision like Danielle & Aaron that truly make a gorgeous wedding to photograph. I highly recommend The Manor House if you are looking for a gorgeous wedding venue.
